Siteri Nale – 2025 Scholarship Recipient
Current Program: Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Majoring in Geography and History
Institution: Fiji National University
Expected Graduation: April 2027
A single mother from Momi Village, Siter Nale is pursuing her dream of becoming a
secondary school teacher in geography and history. Now in her second year at Fiji National
University, Siter is balancing academic life with raising her child, demonstrating remarkable
resilience, dedication, and purpose.
Outside the classroom, she contributes to her village as a volunteer tutor, offering weekly
academic support to Year 7 students, and she has been an active member of her church’s
dance and choir team for over a decade. Her leadership also extends to the volleyball court,
where she has played for her village team since 2015.
With a deep belief in education as a vehicle for social change, Siter aspires not only to teach
but also to mentor, create financial literacy workshops, and support other single parents in
navigating life’s challenges. The SMA Scholarship provides essential support to help her stay
focused on these goals and become the role model she hopes to be—for her child, her
students, and her community.
